Dear friends,
I hope this update finds you safe and well.
Time flies and it doesn’t feel long since my last update, but with spring already in the air, I’m excited to let you know what we have planned for the year ahead.
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m delighted to announce our first show of 2022 will be at the new London Luxury Afloat event at St Katharine Docks, in the heart of London, from 21st to 24th April. This inaugural event showcases the best of luxury yachting and Oyster will be the star sailing boat attraction. We will have four of the fleet on show and if you’ve been following the build of the Oyster 495, you will already know this marks the start of her World Premiere tour. I know a lot of you are excited to see her, so if you haven’t booked your tour, book now!
Also on show is the award-winning new generation Oyster 565, our most successful yacht to date and making her first public appearance is her big sister, the 595. This is a fantastic opportunity to compare our new 50 and 60 foot yachts. To give you a feel for the breadth of the fleet, the Oyster Brokerage team will be showcasing the Oyster 885, Clare, too. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Oyster 495 is the first all-new Oyster on my watch and to mark this special occasion, she will set sail after the show to begin her World Premiere tour. After two years dominated by the pandemic, I wanted to make it easier for you all to see her by bringing her to a city close to you. Over the last three years, we’ve made dramatic improvements to our yachts and the 495 is a great example of how impressive the new generation of Oysters is. You can see the new 495 in Oslo, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Southampton, Barcelona, Cannes, Genoa, Palma, Miami and Sydney. You can find more details here. I hope you can join us – you won’t be disappointed.
Just after London, we will be in the sunshine of Palma at the Palma International Boat Show from 28th April to 1st May. Our brokerage experts will be showcasing a number of pre-loved Oysters. With such limited supply, this is not one to be missed.
I’m sure, like me, many of you have been following the Oyster World Rally 2022-23 on our Rally Live page. After leaving Antigua on this voyage of a lifetime, the fleet has already put some big ticks on their bucket list, visiting some amazing islands, transiting the Panama Canal and exploring the Galápagos. This fully supported circumnavigation is something of which we are extremely proud.
Following unprecedented demand for places on the current and 2024-25 Rally, we have just announced the Oyster World Rally 2026-27. The 30 places are going fast, so don’t miss out if you’ve been dreaming of a doing your own circumnavigation. I know our adventure machines will make it an unforgettable experience, making memories and friends for life.
After the success of last summer’s Palma Rendezvous, we are planning another summer get-together from 3rd to 5th June on the Côte d'Azur. We have also organised an opportunity for a handful of Oyster owners to experience the Monaco Grand Prix from an entirely unique perspective, in some of the most sought-after locations in Monte Carlo. And after three years, we are delighted to be back with the Palma Regatta from 27th to 30th September at Real Club Náutico Palma. Please register early and let’s make it a week to remember.
Finally, you should receive the spring issue of Oyster Life soon. It brings together all the latest on Oyster, with news, reviews and inspiring stories from the Oyster family. Please sign up here for future publication alerts. I hope to see you on the water or at one of our events soon and thank you once again for being part of the Oyster family.
Fair winds,
Richard
