The Oyster 885 Series II is a remarkable sailing superyacht, designed and engineered for a world beyond the well-worn sea lanes. She will take you to see the polar bears in Svalbard, or to cruise and ski amongst the southern fjords and channels of Chile. Attended to by as many as four professional crew, it can all be done in the same luxury and style that you’d expect when anchored off St Barts.
This is a superyacht that provides an unimaginable level of luxury, space and accommodation in less than 90 feet. Thanks to its smart sizing, the Oyster 885 Series II avoids the burden of complying with rules intended for much bigger boats. It means less red tape — especially if you wish to charter — more space, more options and much more freedom to choose how your luxury sailboat looks and feels.
Dan joined Oyster’s Newport office in 2011 following a career with a leading international brokerage. Prior to coming ashore he held various positions aboard, starting in 2003 and culminating with his captaincy of S/Y Argo, a 110’ Langan Design Schooner. While at sea, Dan completed crossings of the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, and accumulated over 50,000 miles of blue-water cruising experience, including extensive landfalls and oversight of several major refits. Dan is married with a young son and resides in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
