Most Popular Destinations

Where will you go...

We charter yachts in the most beautiful cruising locations in the world, from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean, through to the US East Coast, the South Pacific and many more stunning cruising grounds. Our crews have first-hand knowledge of destinations so they can take you to the most remote locations.

The Balearics

One of the most popular destinations in the western Mediterranean, the Balearics are the perfect yacht charter destination with a choice of unspoiled anchorages and coves, lush landscapes and clear turquoise seas with white sand beaches.

Greek Ionian Islands

Located on the west coast of Greece, the Ionian Islands are known for their stunning white sand beaches and lush greenery. There are six main archipelagos: Corfu, Zakynthos, Paxi (Paxos) in the north and Lefkada, Kefalonia and Ithaki in the south with the most popular being Corfu, Zakynthos and Kefalonia.

Virgin Islands

The Virgin Islands are a popular charter destination for people enjoying their first charter and for families. The 50 islands have become one of the most popular sailing grounds, with steady Trade winds, gentle currents and lots of idyllic, sheltered anchorages.

Leeward Islands (Antigua, St Martins, St Barts)

This chain of islands sits at the meeting point where the north-eastern Caribbean Sea meets the western Atlantic. Created by volcanic activity at the end of the last Ice Age, the arc of islands stretches southwest, offering an eclectic mix of untouched desert islands with some of the most luxurious holiday destinations in the region.

Windward Islands (St Vincent and Grenadines)

Named for its Trade winds and ocean currents, the Windwards were the destination of choice for pirates. It is the ideal cruising ground for chilled charters. With calm seas and consistent winds (10-25 knots) cruising is effortless, with line-of-sight passages that make island hopping a joy.

Maine, USA

Maine, in the USA, is renowned for its dramatic lighthouses, rugged mountains and enchanting sea life, found just 20 miles from the coast. With a coastline just shy of 3,500 miles, there is a lot to discover.

FAQS

Your Charter questions answered

How do I book a yacht charter?

Get in touch with us and we will guide you through the process of finding the ideal yacht charter for your needs. From your preferred destination and travel dates to group size, yacht style and cruising preferences, we take the time to understand the experience you are looking for before presenting a tailored selection of suitable yachts and itineraries.

What is included in the charter price?

The charter fee includes exclusive use of the yacht for the agreed period, together with the services of the professional crew. Depending on the charter location, local VAT or applicable taxes may also be added to the charter fee.

In addition, an Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA) of approximately 30-40% is usually charged prior to departure. The APA is used to cover operational expenses during the charter, such as fuel, marina fees, food, beverages and other onboard provisions, allowing the onboard experied to remain flexibile and tailored to your preferences. At the end of the charter, any unused APA funds will be refunded. Should expenses exceed the allocated APA, this will be clearly communicated during the charter.

What types of yachts are available?

Our portfolio includes a carefully curated selection of luxury sailing yachts, motor yachts and catamarans, accommodating between four and 12 guests. Each yacht is thoughtfully selected for its quality, comfort, service standards and onboard experience.

The yachts featured online represent only a small selection of the charter opportunities available through our services. Our specialists can provide access to thousands of yacht charters across the globe.

What additional costs should I consider?

Depending on the itinerary, additional costs may apply alongside the charter fee and APA. For example, a delivery or relocation fee may be charged if the yacht is required to travel to or from a different location outside its usual cruising area or home port.

In some cases, a security deposit may also be requested prior to departure.

Crew tips are discretionary but always appreciated in recognition of exceptional service. Tipping levels typically range between 5-20% of the base charter fee. This is usually discussed towards the end of the charter when reviewing the APA expenses with the captain, and can be arranged directly with the captain or through our specialists.

What are the payment terms?

Upon signature of the MYBA charter agreement, an initial payment of 50% of the base charter fee is typically required to secure the booking.

The remaining balance is generally due five weeks prior to the start of the charter and includes the final 50% of the charter fee, the APA, applicable VAT, any delivery or relocation fees, and, where required, a security deposit.

Are the yachts on your website the only options available?

No, the yachts on our website represent only a small selection of the charter opportunities available through our global network. We have access to thousands of yachts across the globe. If it is available to charter, we can access it for you.

What is the best time of year to charter?

The Mediterranean high season typically runs through July and August, when conditions are at their peak but destinations are also at their busiest. Many guests prefer the shoulder months of May, June, September and October, when the weather remains excellent but cruising grounds are often quieter.

The Caribbean season generally runs from late November through to May, offering warm, consistent conditions during the northern winter months. Other destinations such as the South Pacific and parts of Asia tend to follow similar seasonal patterns.

Ultimately, the best time to charter depends on your chosen destination and the type of experience you are looking for. Our team will be delighted to discuss your ideas and advise on the most suitable timing.

How far in advance should I book?

We generally recommend booking your yacht charter around six months in advance to ensure the best choice of yachts and availability, particularly for peak Mediterranean summer dates and other high-demand periods.

That said, last-minute opportunity do become available, and our experts will always be happy to advise on the most suitable options at any given time.

How do I plan and choose an itinerary?

Your itinerary will be tailored to your preferences, interests and style of travel. By speaking with our charter experts, you can explore different cruising regions, seasonal recommendations, distances between destinations and the types of experiences available in each area, helping you create the ideal charter itinerary.

For inspiration, you can explore our sample itineraries here.

What is the MYBA contract?

The MYBA charter agreement is the industry-standard contract developed by the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA) and is widely used throughout the global yacht charter industry. Refined over several decades, it sets out clear terms and responsibilities designed to protect both the charterer and the yacht owner.

MYBA contracts are used by established and reputable yachting companies, providing transparency, consistency and added peace of mind.

Can I choose the menu?

Ahead of your charter you will be asked to complete a detailed preference sheet covering food, beverages, dietary requirements and any personal preference. Using this information, the chef will create a tailored menu designed around your tastes and requirements. The crew will discuss options with you on a day-to-day basis to ensure every meal suits your preferences and plans.

What if I have allergies or special requests?

Prior to your charter, you will be asked to complete a preference sheet where you can outline any dietary requirements, allergies or personal preferences. The crew and onboard chef will cater to these requirements throughout your charter experience.

We can also help arrange special requests and celebrations on board, from birthday occasions and anniversary dinners to bespoke experiences.

Is a yacht charter suitable for children?

Yes, many charter yachts are well suited to families and offer a range of child-friendly activities and onboard equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for younger guests. We can recommend the most suitable family-friendly yachts for your group and ensure all requirements are taken into account.

Can I bring my pet on board?

Some yachts are pet-friendly and will accept pets onboard, often with a security deposit. It is important to mention this when we first discuss your plans, so that we can ensure suitable pet-friendly yachts are included in your selection and any specific requirements can be taken into account when planning your charter.

What communications are available on board?

Communication and connectivity options vary depending on the yacht and cruising area. Most yachts offer onboard Wi-Fi, allowing guests to stay connected during their charter.

However, in more remote locations coverage and bandwith may be limited or intermittent. If reliable or high-speed internet access is important for your trip, please let us know in advance so we can advise on suitable yachts and discuss potential solutions to meet your requirements.

How flexible is the itinerary?

One of the greatest advantages of a yacht charter is the flexibility it offers. While an initial itinerary will be carefully planned, routes can often be adapted to suit weather conditions, guest requests or simply how you feel on the day. Your captain and crew will always work with you to create the best possible experience, whether that means discovering a quieter anchorage, spending longer in a favourite destination or adjusting plans along the way.

Can I use the water toys?

Yes, water toys are usually available for guests to use. In some cruising areas there may be local restrictions on their use, and certain water toys (such as jet skis) may require licences or special permissions.

We will discuss all of this with you during the planning stage. If there is something specific you would like to try that is not included in the yacht's inventory, it is often possible to rent additional water toys for your charter.

What should I pack?

What to pack will largely depend on your destination, season and style of charter. We recommend getting in touch with our team, as we can provide packing guidance based on your itinerary and time of year.

As a general rule, we suggest bringing comfortable, lightweight clothing for daytime, a few smarter options for evenings onboard or ashore, and soft-soled shoes suitable for life on deck.

Do I need insurance?

Cancellation and curtailment insurance is strongly recommended to protect your charter investment in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We also advise considering personal accident and medical insurance for your time on board.

Some guests additionally opt for charterer's liability insurance for added peace of mind. We can guide you through the available options and help you understand what may be most appropriate for your booking.
