The perfect all-round adventurer

The Oyster 595 is one of the few true ocean cruisers for sale with many design features distilled from our larger yachts. The perfect all-rounder, she is designed for safe yet fast, exhilarating cruising. Built with state-of-the-art materials and techniques, the integrity of the hull is certified by Lloyd’s Register. Easy to handle and extremely manoeuvrable, bow and stern thrusters make her simple to berth in tight spots. Designed for adventure, with a variety of keel and transom options, her protected helm position, concealed lines and clutter-free decks make her safe and a pleasure to sail. Fully automated with in-mast furling as standard, she offers responsive finger-tip control on the helm, courtesy of the twin rudder design. The increased hull volume with a wide beam aft can handle plenty of sail power for faster passage-making speeds.

Bluewater cruising in her blood

With the DNA of Oyster coursing through every inch of the new 595, she captures not only the spirit of our yachts but the experience gained over 50 years. Inspired by owners and refined by our design, engineering and build teams, she is the real deal – all the trappings of superyacht style in a versatile 60 foot package.

The broader beam aft and extra length offer welcome volume and versatile configuration options. Choose an aft ensuite master cabin with three guest cabins, one amidships and two guest cabins forward, creating privacy for friends or crew. The forward ensuite master option allows for one large or two doubles aft. All this space creates opportunities to customise – for example there is space for a desk or extra seating in the owner’s cabin.

The Oyster 595 is the culmination of 50 years of building bluewater cruising yachts. Based on real sailors’ experience, everything is designed for ease, from all-around access to the engine room to the carefully labelled service pipes and wiring for easy maintenance. Every practicality is considered – reach out and your hand will fall on an intuitively-placed grab handle. Doors open in the direction you expect and fasten with solid catches – even the floors have rubber seals to prevent squeaking.

The 595 establishes the next generation of ocean cruisers for sale; she offers a confluence of advanced materials, production techniques and engineering technology. Reassurance is built into the hull design, which emphasises global strength, stiffness and longitudinal structural continuity, a requirement for the stringent Lloyd’s Register certification.

Building your Oyster

The journey to become an Oyster owner begins in many different ways. For some it starts as a childhood dream, for others, it’s the culmination of years of research that leads them to conclude there is no other choice but an Oyster. But for all those investing in a new Oyster 595 the delights of ownership start the minute you begin her build. A key part of owning your Oyster bluewater cruiser is getting under the skin of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that go into her, and the insights you pick up through the build and handover process. We believe being part of this adds to the deep sense of ownership you will feel when you first step aboard. To ensure this experience is something you will savour and cherish, we assign one of experienced project managers to guide you through.

Turning dreams into reality

Our Project Managers are all experienced sailors who will help you turn your hopes, plans and dreams of adventure into reality, from the initial moulding of the hull to handover. Their practical experience has been gained from hundreds of thousands of miles sailed, previous builds and knowing Oyster inside out. They will be there throughout the build of your Oyster 595, offering advice on all aspects of the process to make sure she is beyond expectation when you set sail.

@

Your yacht, your choices

You and your plans are key, so your PM will learn what you want to do with your yacht, where you would like to sail her and what is most important to you in terms of finish and equipment. They will then combine all requirements and guide you through selecting appropriate options and equipment that are right for you.

@

Regular meetings and updates

A highlight for owners is the regular yard visits (in person or online) so you can see your 595 at key points during the build. Ownership is made richer by understanding the craftsmanship and attention to detail in each yacht. These visits are a great opportunity to see our master craftspeople bring their skills to bear on your boat. We will keep you up-to-date throughout so you have all the information you need to make the right decisions at the right time.

@

From build to handover

Your 595 is handed to our commissioning team on completion. Commissioning takes six to eight weeks to meet our exacting standards and ensure she is perfect. A week-long handover follows, during which you will be introduced to your yacht and literally shown the ropes. Our team will advise on how to use each piece of equipment and technology, ensuring you will set off on your first Oyster adventure in complete confidence.
