Oyster Palma Regatta run as a Clean Regatta

Oyster Yachts are proud to be running the Oyster Palma Regatta as a Clean Regatta and are working with our hosts Real Club Nautico Palma to minimise the impact the event has on the environment.

After achieving Bronze Clean Regatta certification in 2017 and Gold in 2019, our aim is to achieve Platinum certification at the Palma Regatta 2022 with the following initiatives:

  • The Cleanwave Rocket - a giant drinking water refill station on the dock at RCNP and Andratx for yachts to re-fill their reusable water containers and bottles.
  • All caterers will provide an environmentally sound alternative to single-use plastics.
  • Event documents are sent electronically via email and the Oyster app to reduce paper waste.
  • Leftover event food is collected and distributed to homeless shelters by the local charity Yachting Gives Back.

We encourage all participants to make smart choices to help us protect the water and ecosystems we love so dearly. There is an opportunity for owners to donate to SAVE THE MED organisation based in Mallorca.
