With the characteristic graceful shearline, elegant overhangs, and low freeboard, she also has a slim, well-balanced hull, which has a reputation for being faster under sail than her statistics would indicate! Designed to be handled by a couple but also to accommodate crew if that was the owner’s desire. Oyster launched 14 Oyster 61s between 1995 and 2000, and her Bluewater sailing credentials are clear with the centre cockpit, single wheel configuration, single skin GRP hull construction, a full-length rudder skeg and keel stepped mast.
