Molly Marston began her yachting career as crew aboard charter yachts for 10 years giving her useful insight into the industry.
In 1996 she joined Oyster, being instrumental in the development of the Newport Oyster office from its startup. In 2004 Molly implemented the charter division for Oyster and currently manages the company world-wide from her Newport base.
With attention to detail Molly ensures all aspects of a charter are handle with the utmost care. Molly is passionate about sailing and takes pride ensuring all guests experience the thrill of sailing on an Oyster.

James Thomas

Captain

James is 26 years old and from England and has been sailing recreationally since a young age. He has been working professionally in the yachting industry since 2012, taking part in round world yacht races, crossing the North Pacific and Atlantic oceans, racing and cruising.

James began his career by taking part in the Clipper round the World yacht race sailing from Qingdao, China to Southampton, UK in the position of ‘Watch Leader’, experiencing tough ocean conditions with winds up to 80 knots and 10m seas. Following this role, between 2012 and Summer 2015, James took up the positions of ‘1st and 2nd Mate’ in ocean race training. During this time he also became the deckhand/Relief Mate on board the 43m Modern Classic schooner ’S/Y This Is Us’, competing in the Palma Super Yacht Cup and sailing the Balearics with the owner and charter guests. In December 2015 James became the ‘Mate’ on the renowned ex-racing Wally Nariida, where he and Jesse met, cruising Scandinavia and the Western Mediterranean. In 2017 he made the step up to captain where he and Jesse moved to running their own charter boat out of Corfu.

In his spare time he enjoys kitesurfing, wake boarding, mountain biking and snowboarding.

Guests can always expect to see James with a smile on his face. He has an infectious upbeat, energetic personality which only exudes his passion and love for sailing, entertaining and responsibility for everyone onboard

Jessica Green

Cook / Stew

Jessica is 28 years old, from England and speaks Spanish, French and intermediate Italian. She began working as a Water Sports Instructor in Sydney and also in Catering at Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy. She has since spent the last 7 years working onboard luxury yachts.

Jesse has a passion for yacht racing and in recent years has participated in a number of regattas and races aboard a wide variety of sailing yachts. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys photography, wake boarding, kite surfing and has a great interest in languages and literature.

Jesse became an experienced Stewardess in 2010 working onboard various yachts around the Whitsunday Islands, Australia cooking for up to 54 guests and 8 crew. In December 2012, Jessica took up the position of Chief Stewardess on the sailing yacht ‘Koo’ and spent two years cruising the south Pacific and New Zealand. During the same time she also raced on the yacht Rowdy, taking on the role of mast man in Nice, Cannes and St Tropez regattas. In May 2015, Jessica took on the role of Sole Stewardess onboard the J Class yacht Topaz and following this, joined the yacht Nariida as ‘Deckhand’ which is where she met James. More recently Jesse has turned her attention back to her love of food and cooking, completing courses at Ashburton school of cooking in the UK and working as Cook on Yachts and Private Islands.

James and Jesse will be joined by a third crew member as a mate.
