We strive to make chartering an Oyster a rewarding and effortless experience. Our comprehensive service covers everything, so you can enjoy every moment you are on board without worrying about the day-to-day running and maintenance of your yacht.
We make the process simple from start to finish. If you are buying a new or brokerage yacht, we can advise on the best models for charter, we can even find a crew through our in-house crew services. We also know the best specification that will make your yacht more attractive to clients.
Every detail is taken care of on your behalf. From marketing around the world directly to clients and industry brokers to managing contracts, charter schedules, handling funds and liaising between you, your crew and guests. We attend to every detail so your crew can focus on giving your charter clients the experience of a lifetime.
When you are ready to set sail, she will be ready to go. Your crew will keep her shipshape, taking care of the yacht as if she is their own. This enables you to enjoy every minute onboard without worrying about everyday maintenance.
Another benefit of a charter is exploring new destinations which you might not have considered before. Charter yachts consistently move to different destinations, so you will enjoy new experiences every time.
The ideal charter Oyster is 60 foot and over, with a full-time crew. The crew helps offset a proportion of your running costs by maintaining her and hosting charter guests. A crew of two is ideal for most 60 to 70 foot yachts with three or more are required for 80 foot plus yachts.
Charter rates start at €16,000 a week for an Oyster 575 to €98,000 a week for the Oyster 125. Oyster charter works to standard industry guidelines on charter commission and in addition provides a complimentary, first-class charter management service to Oyster Owners.
To ensure we can maximise your yacht’s charter potential, she must be available at peak times in the right locations – the Caribbean over winter and the Mediterranean, UK or New England in summer. With careful planning, you can still enjoy your yacht without any compromise.
As Oyster founder, Richard Matthews, says, “Chartering makes sense, otherwise a boat is like a horse in a stable: it continues to eat.” It’s not about big profits, it’s about offsetting costs and having your yacht maintained to a high standard and ready to go in great destinations.
