The second most popular Oyster design ever, sixty-five 435s were launched between 1983 and 1995. Holman and Pye drew a balanced and weatherly hull with a vast range of options. Buyers could choose between coachroof or deck saloon, aft or centre cockpit, ketch or sloop/cutter, retroussé or counter stern, as well as a huge choice of interior layouts.
A well-proven, bluewater cruiser and liveaboard, sailing successes included a class win in the Europa 1994 Round the World Rally.
