I hope you’re well and enjoying some exciting sailing adventures this summer.
We kicked off the summer with a class win for the new Oyster 495 at the Isle of Wight ‘Round the Island Race’, along with a second overall! She is a class act and she proved her performance credentials against a fleet of thoroughbred racing yachts.
Many of you will have seen the 495 on her World Premiere Tour or in the press. She is a true new generation Oyster – effortless to sail, fast (really fast!), luxurious and technologically advanced. With 16 already sold, I’m sure she will win more fans on her summer Mediterranean tour.
The 495 embodies our continued investment in the business, with new and improved facilities and our commitment to marrying technology with traditional crafts skills and exceptional people – a 600 strong team is now onboard!
We have two exciting new additions to the fleet – the Oyster 745 is now available with a super shallow-draft centreboard keel, featuring a reduced draft of 1.98m/ 6’6”. The much anticipated and extremely impressive Oyster 885 GT is now on the water and with our commissioning team – watch out for more on this boat.
Our build bays are full and demand for new yachts continues. Brokerage yachts are also in high demand and the entire charter fleet is booked for summer, with many sailing Oysters for the first time – you may even be reading this on one of them!
If you are considering buying an Oyster or upgrading your current yacht, the brokerage market continues to remain strong and active. If you’re selling, limited stock is driving high demand. Oyster Brokerage have a stunning selection of boats, including models from the current fleet.
Inspired by our colleagues in luxury automotives and motor yachts, we can now introduce you to partners with competitive finance solutions to make the possibility of embarking on sailing adventures on board a new Oyster more attainable. In addition, our Sales team can help with part-exchange solutions, giving you the reassurance of a smooth transition to your next Oyster. Talk to Sales, they would be happy to provide more information.

The Oyster World Rally 2022-23 has reached the halfway point in Australia. With over 10,000 nautical miles completed, I can report the fleet are having the time of their lives. They continue to add big ticks to the bucket list, having covered some of the world’s most beautiful cruising grounds in French Polynesia and Fiji, not to mention the vast Pacific Ocean crossing. With more to come, you can follow their adventures on the Rally Live section of our website. In parallel, I’m excited for those joining the Oyster World Rally 2024-25 as they begin training in preparation for their voyage of a lifetime. If you’re considering circumnavigating the world, a few spaces remain on the Oyster World Rally 2026-27, but hurry, they’re going fast!
If you are yet to experience the new generation Oyster yachts, you can see them at summer shows in Cannes, Southampton, Genoa and Annapolis, or at our Private Views in Barcelona and Palma – details on the website.
I hope you will be joining us at the National Maritime Museum for the Oyster Owners Trafalgar Dinner on 21st October. You’ll know I’m passionate about Admiral Nelson, so the timing and venue will ensure it’s a very special evening. Please don’t miss it!
I have a small favour to ask – below is a link to a survey for owners. Insights from you are hugely helpful in sharpening our focus and ensuring we always exceed your expectations. I would love to hear your feedback on any and every aspect of Oyster – what we are doing well, what’s missing and what we could do better. If you could take a few moments to provide your feedback, I would be very happy to bear your thoughts in mind as we take Oyster to the next level.
Finally, after a two year break, the Oyster Palma Regatta is back. Join us 27th to 30th September, for what looks set to be a very special Regatta. It’s the perfect excuse to meet up with old friends and new.
In the meantime, enjoy your summer and I hope to see you at an event or on the water very soon.
