Designed around a simple idea: that the journey should be as compelling as the destination, the 36M was created in collaboration with Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering. A new-generation flagship, she combines greater scale, architectural sophistication, and individuality with the long-distance capability, comfort, and confidence that have defined the Oyster name for more than five decades.
The Oyster 36M is a true luxury superyacht, designed as a flagship, rather than simply a larger Oyster. At 36 metres in length, she provides the scale and presence expected of sailing superyachts, while retaining the flexibility and personalisation that has been central to the Oyster ownership model for decades.
Each owner can personalise the yacht around their individual tastes and requirements, creating a truly individual expression of how they want to experience the world. Owner and guest areas can be configured through different cabin arrangements, interior layouts and styling, alongside choices in deck hardware, sail plans, keel and anchor options, and sports and adventure equipment, while the underlying architecture and engineering remain defined.
The approach intends to deliver the best of both worlds: owners possess the individuality of a custom yacht while maintaining the reassurance of an established bluewater platform.

At the bow, the Oyster 36M introduces a configurable forward retreat away from the principal aft living areas. It can be specified to meet owners’ specific requirements, including sun protection and a jacuzzi, creating a private space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Moving aft, the expansive cockpit and beach club draw life aboard towards the water. The centrepiece is ‘The Island’, a platform that can be lowered to provide generous access to the sea or raised to create an additional terrace over the water. An optional side boarding platform provides an alternative access point closer to the yacht’s centre.
Between these spaces, the luxurious panoramic saloon provides 360-degree views within a protected environment. A sliding glass partition opens the saloon directly into the cockpit, creating a broad and versatile inside-outside living area that can be used in differing weather conditions.
A single-level flow connects the principal living areas, allowing owners and guests to move naturally between quiet retreats, shared spaces, shelter and open air. Together, these spaces create a yacht designed not simply to sail between destinations, but to make extended stays aboard effortlessly comfortable, liveable and exciting.
Engineered specifically for bluewater use, with large tank capacities, space for spares and equipment, accessible systems and a large garage for diving, sports and owner-specific equipment. Together, these features provide the autonomy, practicality and adventure capability required for extended time away from marinas.
Its latest-generation Frers hull form incorporates a deep-V bow and wide stern, balancing safety, comfort and performance. The hull and general arrangement were developed around the demands of long-distance sailing, with low-heel sailing, light-air performance, and speed when required to enhance the bluewater cruising experience.
The emphasis on bluewater capability extends beyond the guest spaces. Technical and crew areas, machinery and core systems form integral parts of the hull development, creating a foundation around which owners can personalise their Oyster. Pre-engineered provisions allow a range of equipment and configurations to be incorporated without redeveloping the underlying architecture. Extensive storage, substantial tank capacity and accessible systems are designed to support greater independence during extended cruising.
The reveal of the 36M follows the surprise announcement at the Cannes Yachting Festival earlier this month of Oyster’s intention to enter the sailing catamaran segment with a completely new, fully bluewater-capable Oyster catamaran to be known as the Oyster C60. Introducing the C60 in Cannes, Oyster owner and Chairman Richard Hadida and CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke stressed that while the C60 luxury catamaran represents an exciting extension of the Oyster range, monohull yachts would remain at the centre of Oyster’s DNA well into the future.
