New Oyster Yachts – Summer 2020

COVID DOESN’T DULL ENTHUSIASM FOR SAILING PLANS AND ADVENTURE

Clearly fuelled by a mindset of Carpe Diem, and with the enforced lockdown offering a period of reflection on future sailing plans and adventures, we’ve been receiving an unexpectedly high level of enquiries from sailors looking to build their dream yacht.

Signed and ready to build

Recent sales have been across the range, which has grown our already strong order book to £60M. They include five 565s and six 595s sold off plan, along with three 885s. Whilst delivery dates are pushing into 2022 for most models, we do have one Oyster 565 and one Oyster 745 build slot that could deliver in late 2021, in time for our next 2022 Oyster World Rally.

Over the last few months, we’ve seen the launch of 745/05. Oyster 565/03 has been handed over and 565/04 has left the yard for commissioning, with her owners eagerly anticipating handover in time to make the most of the summer. With production in full swing, we expect to see several new Oysters touching water by the end of the summer.

New Circumnavigators

The Oyster World Rally has caught the imagination of a number of would-be circumnavigators, with a number of recent sales filling the last spaces on this remarkable event. We expect a full contingent of thirty Oysters departing Antigua in January 2022, for the adventure of a lifetime.

New additions to the Oyster Fleet

We are very much looking forward to the launch of the first Oyster 595, scheduled for early 2021 (but probably not as much as the six owners eagerly awaiting their 595 delivery). No doubt, you will have heard rumours about our new 50 foot Oyster. She will be revealed by the end of the summer and rest assured, she has Oyster DNA running through every inch of her, with a high specification and hand-crafted quality interior. There is already lots of interest and a queue forming to buy her off plan. If you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch and we will make sure you are the first to see her.

Get up close to Oyster

Following the easing of lockdown restrictions, we have been getting back to business (almost) as usual. So, if you would like to see an Oyster in the flesh, we are now organising visits to our yards and yachts on the water again with appropriate social distancing in place to keep us all safe.  With both build yards full of yachts at different stages of construction, there has never been a better time to visit. We would be delighted to welcome you – to plan your visit please get in touch.
