The Oyster World Rally Technical Support Team have been shore-based in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria over the last month, providing free health checks to the Oyster yachts participating in this year's ARC and ARC+.
A complimentary service to Oyster owners, the team have undertaken rig checks, electrical, systems, sail, hydraulics checks and more, ensuring every Oyster is in full health ahead of their Atlantic crossing. As well as physical checks, the team have also been on hand to offer their wealth of sailing experience and advice to the 25 Oyster yachts that are taking part in the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) and ARC+.
The ARC and ARC+ are two of the most popular events for sailors wishing to cross the Atlantic. 16 Oyster bluewater cruisers will be taking part in this year’s ARC, which departs on 19th of November, with nine Oysters already departed with the ARC+.
This support will continue for the Oyster World Rally fleet as they set off on their circumnavigation, as the team will also be travelling to our set destinations to offer support and guidance throughout.
