Update from Richard Hadida CEO & Owner

Wednesday, 29th April 2020

Dear friends of Oyster,

I hope you and your loved ones remain safe and well.

After pausing production of our sailing boats in late March, I am delighted to announce we have reopened our shipyards in a carefully controlled start-up of production. My priority is to keep our team safe and well. To that end, we have rigorous safety procedures in place to ensure safe working environments for our master craftspeople, as they once again begin to shape our beautiful Oyster sailing yachts.

Our team will of course be using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), but I want to reassure you that we are not competing with the NHS for PPE. We have sourced alternative grade PPE, not required by the NHS. In fact, in our best efforts to support NHS staff, Oyster Yachts were proud to donate all our appropriate grade PPE to the NHS Royal County Surrey Hospital back in March 2020.

I remain positive about the future. Restarting production is one small win against the COVID-19 Virus and I hope an important step in helping to rebuild the economy.

We look forward to seeing you soon. In the meantime, stay safe and keep dreaming of the wonderful sailing adventures Oyster Yachts will take you on.

Fair winds,

RH
