WHAT WE SAY
The Holman and Pye designed Oyster 26 is the smallest yacht that Oyster has ever built at just 26 foot. Nonetheless she is a proper seagoing offshore yacht, built to the same high standard as her larger sisters.
A successful club racer, she is stiff and well-balanced in almost all conditions, while her ¾ rig minimises the need for headsail changes. Wide clear side decks, a typical feature of Holman and Pye yacht design, makes life easier on passage, keeping her simple and effortless to sail short-handed. Even on the smallest Oyster yacht, the cockpit is well protected, safe and offers stowage solutions for a liferaft or inflatable and a separate gas bottle locker.
In total, 47 Oyster 26s were launched between 1978 and 1981.
