Bring your skills and passion to a growing team building the world’s finest bluewater cruising yachts, with the facilities and opportunities to match. For over 45 years our people have been designing and building luxury liveaboard sailing yachts, capable of sailing anywhere in the world in comfort and safety. We have a bold new vision for the future, and we want people with a desire to learn and grow to join us on the journey.
This is not your average Bench Joiner role. We build the world’s finest bluewater cruising yachts. We don’t just offer Bench Joiner jobs but the chance to be part of a proud family, to learn, to be the best at what you do, and to enjoy your work. Here are three big reasons to join us.
Take pride in using your joinery skills to create something truly unique and world-class – a Great British product, respected around the world. Our yachts set the standards in our industry, making life-enhancing adventures possible for our passionate international family of customers.
Under passionate new leadership Oyster is growing fast, with an order book that gives us security for years to come. It means that you can look forward with confidence and opportunities to progress both your skills and career, as we launch new yachts and innovate.
You will work as part of a highly skilled team with the finest materials, tools and facilities. We strive to build a family feel amongst our team and to provide the flexibility, training, benefits and support that you need to do your best work and to enjoy your work.
We are hiring a number of Bench Joiners in Southampton and Wroxham to help us meet the growing demand for our range of luxury yachts. Vacancies range from junior level to highly experienced professionals.
Our yachts are built to circumnavigate the world, so we are looking for joiners with a keen eye for precision and quality, and who enjoy working as part of a multi-skilled team to solve problems and meet deadlines. You will have at least two years’ experience, ideally in the marine industry, but you could also be working in related areas that require the same high levels of craftsmanship and quality.
You will be making and fitting a wide variety of boat furniture across our luxury yacht range. Responsibilities include:
“The Oyster 565 is a seriously impressive yacht. It’s a modern design, through and through: good-looking and spacious. It’s certainly expensive, but for good reason, as it includes an extremely high standard spec. And the engineering quality and level of finish really raises the bar. No yacht is perfect, but in terms of design and execution the Oyster 565 is as close as you’ll find on a series-built cruising yacht. This new model issues a very clear statement: Oyster is back.”
If you are interested in joining us as a Bench Joiner then we would love you to take one of the two next steps:
