Designed from the outset with a greater emphasis on performance, the 655 certainly delivers with a relatively fine entry and powerful quarters, a long waterline, high-form stability, and a generous sail plan. She is also a beautiful yacht with a sleek outboard profile. The 655 has an easily driven, powerful hull, and her in-mast, cutter rig setup allows for a generous sail area with a safe and manageable sail plan for cruising around the world or short-handed day sailing around your favourite bays.
Of course, there is more to IRENE IV than performance. Below deck, the American Cherry interior joinery and teak soles are beautifully complemented by the stylish and contemporary furnishings. With eight berths in four cabins, a vast saloon, and well-facilitated galley, there is copious amount of space to travel in comfort and in style.
The saloon makes best use of the yacht’s 18’5” beam and, with the U-shaped galley to port, creates a spacious and contemporary open-plan living environment, with plenty of counter surfaces and stowage space. The 655 has a spacious owner’s suite aft, with its own private access to deck.
On deck, the twin helm configuration puts the helmsman in exactly the right place and means that the spacious forward cockpit is safe and uncluttered. It is also much easier to get on and off the working deck since there is virtually flat deck access from the stern into the cockpit.
IRENE IV was constructed to a high specification and features all of the creature comforts befitting a yacht of this pedigree. Having recently completed a circumnavigation as part of the Oyster World Rally, IRENE IV is perfectly equipped to undertake her next adventure.
Early viewing recommended.
