NEW LISTING

NEW LISTING - OYSTER 46.11 FISK

Oyster Brokerage are delighted to announce the listing of 46.11 Fisk.

Designed by Rob Humphreys, the 46 was conceived as the latest in a long and successful line of Oyster yachts in the mid-forties size range. Introduced in 2005 and in production until 2012, we launched 29 examples, all with the standard three cabin layout. A versatile ocean cruiser, the 46 is a superb design, and one of the first to be graced with the g5 styling, which gives the deck saloon profile an attractive curved profile. The 46 has a powerful hull, with long waterline and fine entry, gradually broadening to a wide stern which allows high form stability and also a sumptuous owner’s stateroom. The 46 is a great size for local family cruising but is also equally capable of long distance bluewater cruising and liveaboard use. Her compact size promises straightforward handling for small crews and competitive running costs once specification is complete and has been verified.

Fisk is hull number 11, and features probably the ultimate short-handed rig with electric in-mast furling to her mainsail and electric furling to her genoa, which allows both sails to be handled without leaving the cockpit. Below decks she has beautiful teak joinery and sleeps six in three cabins without using the saloon sea berth option. Refitted with the World ARC in mind the current owners have invested in recent standing rigging, sails, canvas work, cockpit cushions, rudder bearings, hydrovane, instruments, autopilot, and VHF.

Available due to a change of plans, Fisk is located in perhaps the world finest cruising ground – the south Pacific, and can be viewed in Fiji.

MANUFACTURER'S COMMENTS

The Rob Humphreys-designed replacement for the Oyster 45/47, the 46 carries her beam aft, enhancing downwind stability and permitting a much larger owner’s stateroom. Her longer waterline, wider beam and bigger rig add up to a significant improvement in performance.

Her large centre cockpit benefits from the extra beam and lessons learnt from ergonomic studies and years of sailing experience. Good headroom throughout with a three-cabin accommodation layout, which allows six to sleep in comfort, without recourse to the saloon. Launched between 2005 and 2012, and with 29 examples built, the design was then further tweaked to create the 475.
