Sailors for the Sea is the world’s only ocean conservation organisation that engages, educates and activates the sailing and boating community towards restoring ocean health. Through three solution-oriented programmes – Green Boating, Clean Regattas and KELP – they give sailors the tools and knowledge to take action. Sailors can pledge their commitment to the environment by joining SOS’s growing Green Boating community.
Sailors for the Sea is working with Oyster Yachts to make the upcoming Oyster World Rally 2022-2023 as low impact on the environment as possible. Oyster has already earned Clean Regatta certifications with Bronze for the Oyster Regatta Palma in 2018, Bronze for the Antigua Regatta and Gold for the Oyster Regatta Palma, both in 2019.
The Oyster World Rally will be certified as a Clean Regatta, and Oyster is working hard to coordinate efforts at each stopover.
Working together, we have produced a list of Green Boating Goals specifically for the rally. The list is made up of simple ways to protect and conserve the environments the yachts will be visiting. The three key goals are:

Be careful about what goes into the ocean
