An environmental jewel close to Brazil, access to these stunning islands is limited to just 500 visitors a day. This unique island is a favourite with Oyster World Rally participants and the Oyster team.
With its stunning pure white sand beaches and sublime turquoise waters, it is a true island paradise, with Sancho, Porcos and Pria do Leão beaches often featuring in the top beaches in Brazil lists. It is also a nature lover’s paradise, visited by Charles Darwin during his voyage on the Beagle. The islanders take their responsibilities seriously in preserving the environment by strictly limiting the number of visitors to just 500 a day. Between January and June, Pria do Leão is closed from late afternoon to let the turtles’ nest undisturbed. The island also hosts the largest breeding grounds for tropical sea birds in the Southern Atlantic.
