The Oyster warranty

At Oyster, we are committed to the smooth and trouble-free running of our yachts, of which our warranty and Oyster’s legendary Customer Care team are the foundation. Taking advantage of Oyster’s extended warranty provides peace of mind and will enhance the value of your vessel at re-sale, when listed with the ‘Oyster Approved’ brokerage programme.

Manufacturer’s warranty

All new Oyster yachts purchased from January 2024 come with a two year warranty which meets industry standard and EU law. In addition, teak decking, hull and deck mouldings are warrantied for three years as standard, provided they have been maintained in accordance with the owner’s manual.

    • Structure
    • Laminate
    • Carpentry
    • Keel
    • Electrical/mechanical systems
    • Standing rigging, through to
    • Propulsion/power generation
    • Third-party equipment
  • 3 year warranty includes:
    • Teak decking
    • Hull mouldings
    • Deck mouldings

 

As part of the manufacturer’s warranty, we also install our new ‘black box’ onboard all new Oyster yachts. This provides real-time data through the owner’s Oyster App. The subscription for the App and black box connectivity is included within the initial two year manufacturer’s warranty. Crucially, this system allows tracking of the vessel’s movements and service history, with all records and more, accessible to owners through the App.



Oyster warranty requirements

To validate the Oyster manufacturer’s warranty you will need to meet the following requirements:

 

Requirements:
  • Vessel has been serviced at an approved Oyster Service Centre, within the Oyster Global Service Network
  • Vessel has been maintained in accordance with the owner manual, Oyster and partner service schedules
  • Vessel has had one annual haul-out by Oyster service for standard below waterline checks
  • Onboard black box must has been continuously operational


Extended warranty

If you maintain your Oyster within Oyster’s service schedule, by an approved Oyster Service Centre, you will be eligible to extend the manufacturer’s warranty for years 3,4 and 5. Each additional one year warranty extension will be assessed and approved by Oyster technicians at one of our global service centres.

Taking advantage of Oyster’s extended warranty not only provides peace of mind and assurance, but it will also enhance the value of your vessel at re-sale. For extended warranty eligibility your vessel must meet the following requirements:

 

Requirements:
  • Vessel has been serviced at an approved Oyster Service Centre, within the Oyster Global Service Network
  • Vessel has been maintained in accordance with owner manual, Oyster and partner service schedules
  • Vessel has up-to-date, and complete Oyster service history
  • Onboard black box has been continuously operational
  • Teak decking, hull and deck mouldings have been maintained in accordance with the owner’s manual
  • Vessel is hauled-out by Oyster Service for below waterline pre-warranty extension checks and warranty approval
