Summer is here and we’ve been making the most of it. I hope you have made it to the sea and are enjoying the start of a wonderful season on the water.
In my spring update, I expressed my commitment to make every experience with Oyster amongst the best and most memorable of your life. My focus continues to be on ensuring we deliver on that promise.
A lot has been going on at Oyster and we’re making good progress with a record number of yachts in build and commissioning. See for yourself by watching this film of the team in action over the last few months.
We have made significant progress to mitigate supply chain issues and meet delivery times, as parts become more readily available. There has been a relentless focus on on-time delivery and the meticulous levels of detail and quality for which our yachts are renowned. We are winning!
The build bays remain full and I am excited about the prospect of creating additional capacity across our boat yards in Southampton and Hythe in Hampshire, and Wroxham in Norfolk. Please talk to Sales about early delivery dates on some models. We have already got off to a great start this year, with sales of every yacht in our range, including three sales of our 565 taking us up to hull 26 – fantastic continued momentum since 565.01 splashed just four years ago in 2019.
We have been working hard to expand our service and support offering. Our aim is to provide all our owners with more support and after-sales services, and to make becoming an Oyster owner easier and an absolute joy! From finance solutions and part exchange, to service plans, training, events and the Oyster World Rally, I am confident we have a range of owner benefits that have been thoughtfully considered to enhance the enjoyment of your Oyster yacht.
It is truly gratifying to see our current fleet continue to prove popular amongst new owners and prospects alike. The introduction of the centreboard 885CB variant, which joins the 595CB, 745CB and 495 shoal keel models, has driven much interest in our shallow-draft offering for 50ft to 90ft yachts. This feature is unique in the bluewater cruiser market and opens up more possibilities for our owners to discover stunning, shallow cruising grounds around the world.
Following successful events at the St Kats London Show and the Oyster 495 Private View in California, we are now preparing for the summer shows, where we will proudly showcase models from our current fleet. You can find all the events we will be attending and which yachts will be on show here. If you can’t get to a show and want to experience a new Oyster first hand, please talk to our sales team who will be happy to facilitate a viewing.
After the successful completion of the Oyster World Rally 2022-23, we are seeing a number of Rally-ready Oysters coming onto the market – see our brokerage listings here. If you hurry, you could join the 2024-25 Rally as the fleet makes its final preparations to begin their voyage of a lifetime. For those considering a circumnavigation, esteemed Oyster owner Eddie Jordan will be sharing his rally experience and insights in a captivating four-part series. The Oyster World Rally 2026-27 is filling up fast, with an eclectic mix of nationalities and a variety of Oysters from 50 to 90 foot. With 16 yachts from the current Oyster range, and 30 yachts in total, it’s shaping up to be an outstanding event. Don’t miss your chance to join them.
