Dear All,
Welcome to Oyster’s Spring update.
It has been a truly incredible start to 2025 – a period of strong performance, standout events, and continued innovation across the business, from new model launches to inspiring owner experiences.
I’m delighted to report that the business is in excellent shape. We’ve returned to profitability and closed our most successful sales year to date, with a record number of yachts sold and strong demand continuing into 2025. In a challenging market, this is a testament to the quality of our yachts, the strength of our global services, and the continued support from our international family of owners.
In April, we welcomed the Oyster World Rally 2024-25 fleet back to Nelson’s Dockyard, Antigua. It barely feels like any time has passed since they departed back in January 2024, but sixteen months later, we welcomed nineteen Oyster yachts over the finish line with cannon fire to mark the completion of their circumnavigation of the world. The atmosphere in English Harbour was electric as the celebrations commenced, and the bonds and memories made together during this adventure will surely last a lifetime. It was a remarkable achievement – congratulations to everyone who completed this unforgettable journey. Watch how it unfolded here.
If you are considering embarking on the Oyster World Rally, limited spaces are available for 2028-29. The final spots are in high demand, so get in touch with our Events team to find out more.
Following the end of the rally, we stayed in the Caribbean for a fantastic week of racing in our biennial Oyster Antigua Regatta. Strong winds, large seas, and competitive racing made for a great week, as the fleet of yachts raced from English Harbour to Jumby Bay and back over four days. It was a pleasure to see so many Oysters sailing together once again. Watch the action here.
Back on home turf, we returned to the heart of London to showcase four stunning Oysters at our London Private View in St Katharine Docks. The 565, 595, 675 and 885SII were on show together, as we welcomed hundreds of guests across five days. Alongside the yachts, we were joined by industry experts Humphreys Yacht Design and Dolphin Sails, amongst others, to present a series of Bluewater Masterclasses throughout the week, offering insights into bluewater sailing topics. We formally welcomed Torsten Müller-Ötvös, former Rolls-Royce CEO, to the Oyster Family in his new role as Strategic Adviser. The show was a great success in the spring sunshine, watch the highlights here.
During the Private View, we also shared our biggest news of the year so far – the introduction of the Oyster 805. On Thursday 1 May, we gathered to announce our latest innovation, an 80-foot superyacht-inspired bluewater cruiser that combines classic styling with innovative new features and configuration options. This model marks a bold new era of luxury, versatility and adventure for Oyster, and we can’t wait to see the first hull on the water. Discover more about the Oyster 805 here.
The 805 was not the only announcement of the week as I introduced a range of our latest developments within the business. The first, the Oyster 595 Series II – an upgraded and refreshed look at our best-selling model which will include evolved styling, larger hull ports, expanded seascape windows and remastered features below deck. Find out more here.
Building on the successful format of our Oyster World Rally, we launched The Oyster Explorers Club, a dedicated community that opens a world of unforgettable adventures on board an Oyster. The club, exclusively open to Oyster owners, will make global cruising accessible with fully supported, curated voyages to remote and extraordinary destinations. Find out more. Alongside this, we also introduced our bespoke training offering, The Bluewater Academy, which will help new owners turn their sailing dreams into reality. With training tailored to the individual's skill level and delivered by expert instructors, Oyster owners can now get to know their vessels with the guidance of the people who know them best.
