Oyster Brokerage – Summer 2020

At Oyster Brokerage we remain optimistic about the future, despite the challenging times. Over the last few months, we have found innovative ways to work with buyers and sellers, and our yacht brokers have been on hand (often virtually) to assist owners and future owners alike.

Dreams of freedom

Despite (or perhaps because of) lockdown, the marketplace is very active with some great opportunities for ready-to-go buyers. Residual values are holding up well and with around only 1,400 Oysters on the water, there is a high demand for a limited pool of boats on the market at any one time. To understand more about the value and quality of an Oyster brokerage model, there’s no better testament to the adventures in which these boats have taken their new owners. Uhuru, Bliss and Meteorite each have an intriguing story to tell that underscores the quality, comfort and safety of these impressive yachts.

Thinking of selling your Oyster?

If you are thinking about upgrading to a newer model, now is an excellent time to sell your Oyster through us. Listings are up by 10% this year and we have a fleet of 50 boats that are attracting a lot of interest. Viewings are also up by 15% year on year, with our new approach to digital marketing driving more interest and enquiries. As the only brokerage exclusively selling pre-owned Oysters, our offering is unique and has seen sales on a par with last year, despite the unusual times we have been living through. To find out more about selling your Oyster, please get in touch.

Seeking your perfect pre-owned Oyster?

We have seen an increase in discerning buyers considering a quality Oyster brokerage model over new production boats. As well as all the advantages of owning an Oyster that is capable of taking you anywhere in the world, the outstanding residual values make our pre-owned yachts very attractive. We can help you with a contemporary refit, to upgrade and personalise your boat, and we know the added value will be retained when compared to new production boats. A number of our sellers are open to striking a deal if you are ready to go. But it’s important to note pre-owned Oysters are rare – for example, we have the only brokerage Oyster 675 for sale in the world, which is likely to be the case for the next three years at least.

Latest models available

Our fleet of Brokerage Oysters has grown recently, and we have the unique ability to offer a rare and thorough insight into each one of our listings; we have access to all the design and build files of every Oyster ever built.

We also have in-house deals on four Oysters: 82 Raven, 655 ISNL, 485 Out on the Blue and 66 True Blue.

In the mid-range, we have a collection of the world-conquering 575, 56 and 54 models available across our three sites.
