A record sales year for Oyster amid a tough market

With two months remaining in the financial year, this week, we’ve reported record-breaking financial and sales success this year, despite turbulent and difficult times for the sailing yacht industry.

Achieving a record £55m in new boat sales revenue, we have sold 16 new models this year, with further sales anticipated as the hotly contested Oyster World Rally 2028-29 spaces fill up ahead of the year-end.

The strength of our global sales has been attributed to our legendary 50ft to 90ft, go anywhere bluewater sailing yachts, the popularity of our fully-supported world circumnavigation, the Oyster World Rally, and our unique collection of comprehensive services to support our owners – giving them the confidence and means to explore the world.

A strong start to 2025 saw us close on two new yachts, securing the next hull of our flagship Oyster 885 SII and the 70-foot Oyster 675. Dominating sales during the year has been the Oyster 595, a popular choice for owner-operated world cruising. In response to the strong demand for this model, we have invested in a second mould tool to scale up the production capacity of this well-proportioned, adventure ready 60-foot bluewater cruiser. This significant investment underlines our commitment to delivering luxury bluewater yachts that blend uncompromising strength of construction, comfortable sailing performance and the ability for go anywhere adventure.

With the latest models going into moulding soon, our production yards on the south and east of the UK are now full to capacity until 2027, with 25 yachts currently in various stages of build, from moulding to commissioning.

Oyster Yachts CEO, Ashley Highfield, said:

“The success of our sales and the financial turnaround of the business this year is a testament to both the incredible work being performed across the business and the quality of the yachts we are producing. Alongside taking delivery of a yacht, each Oyster owner can take advantage of the comprehensive services we provide to ensure confidence to adventure further with our support. From training and guidance, access to our Global Service Network, crew assistance and joining us at one of our exclusive international owner events, the Oyster family is a special group to be a part of.

Following the launch of the Oyster World Rally 2028-29 last Summer, we have seen an unprecedented demand for spaces, with a number of new sales being commissioned to fulfil that dream. Whether the aim is a global circumnavigation or to enjoy time cruising with family and friends, the Oyster family continue to take on inspiring adventures all over the world, and we support them every step of the way.”
