OVERVIEW
Oyster’s first foray into production powerboat building came in 1990.
She is a 39ft flybridge cruiser designed by John Bennett. The 390 is based on Bennett’s Humber 38 hull, with a modified transom, and new deck and superstructure. She has deep V hull forward moderating to a medium V aft, with a three quarter length shallow keel to aid low speed handling. Top speed is around 30 knots, with a range of around 350 miles at cruising speed. Eleven were launched between 1990 and 1991.
