Shelena is only the second Oyster 545 to be placed on the brokerage market, so a rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful recent Oyster. The 545 replaced the 54 in the Oyster lineup, and whilst she uses the proven hull and deck of the earlier model, modifications to the interior and the addition of larger portlights distinguish her from her predecessors.
Rob Humphreys drew an elegant and modern design, compact enough to be sailed and maintained by a couple, yet large enough to offer safe and comfortable ocean cruising when desired. Her long waterline and powerful rig combine to offer effortless performance, but traditional Oyster features like the keel stepped mast, and full length rudder skeg make the 545 strong and reliable offshore.
Shelena is in her original ownership, and has had below average use, with two Atlantic crossings and Caribbean and east coast US cruising. Her rig represents perhaps the ultimate offer in terms of ease of handling, with electric powered push-button furling by Selden for both the genoa and the mainsail. Below decks Shelena is stunning with maple joinery and pale blue Alcantara saloon seating and trims.
Now lying ashore in Ipswich, and available for inspection at any convenient time, Shelena would repay an early viewing.
