If so, we have a great opportunity for a detail orientated, methodical, passionate individual to work as an Application Engineering Assistant to join our Engineering team in Southampton.

The Contract:


Full time – 40 hours per week


The Role:

To provide administrative support assisting the Design Engineering department to collate and distribute technical information across the business


Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining project documentation including; drawings, specifications, meeting minutes, request for quotations, vendor communications and project documentation
  • Maintain accurate databases of information controlled by the Application Engineering team
  • Assist with updates to standard and client internal layout drawings
  • Work with suppliers and colleagues collating technical information to develop accurate specifications and optional equipment lists for all models
  • With help from company estimators, create and record quotes for bespoke client requests.
  • Issuing of technical information to production, supply chain, sales and marketing
  • Assist with the management of the Engineering Change system

  • Time oriented individual with exceptional attention to detail
  • Methodical, analytical and process driven
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of local and remote stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and maintain professionalism and composure while working under critical deadlines
  • Ability to organise work and manage projects, follow up on assignments, with minimum supervision and within established timelines
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office; Outlook, Excel & Word




  • Knowledge of the marine industry
  • Experience in a design office environment
  • Ability to use design software
  • Experience within a similar role
